The China Securities Professionals Certification Test Successfully Completed |
|
|
The unified examination of China Securities Professionals was successfully conducted in 40 cities across the nation from October 18-19, 2008. The exam took place while the world is suffering from financial crisis and economic recession in which China is unavoidably negatively impacted. The Chinese financial regulatory authority starts putting emphasis on the training and certification of its staff to ensure the efficiency of the financial system. Testing titles have expanded from the two to six covering both fundamentals and technical knowledge including Securities Fundamentals, Securities Trading, Securities Offering and Underwriting, Securities Investment Analysis, Securities Investment Fund and Compliance Management. Future certification system for securities professionals will be much more comprehensive according to the design structure. As usual, ATA provided the exam delivery service for the nationwide test. A total number of 180,000 candidates participated in the tests throughout the two day period; total number of tests delivered was over 300,000. |

The Second 2008 Qualification Test for Insurance Administrators Successfully Completed |

The Second 2008 Qualification Test for Insurance Administrators for China Life Insurance Corporation was successfully completed in 300 test centers across 58 cities nationwide on October 25, 2008. This has been the second computer-based test administration of the year for China Life Insurance using ATA test delivery technologies and services. A total number of 14,000 candidates participated in the exam.
The performance-based exam leveraged ATA Dynamic Simulation Testing (DST) technology to simulate a high-fidelity application environment which allowed candidates to perform tasks just like in their real jobs with each operation being scored instantly. The performance-based examination gave the candidates a chance to test their practical skills in their daily work. In addition, ATA offered data analysis services on the exam result to assist China Life in setting up a standardized on-job training framework.
An off-site monitoring system was deployed so that the test site situation could be monitored in the central monitoring room in the premise of China Life Insurance.

China must prepare for challenges sure to be brought about by the global financial crisis, although the nation's economy was generally in good shape, central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan said Sunday. Reporting to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on China's prospects in the face of the worst financial crisis in 80 years, Zhou said that China's economy was developing as expected, but the world economic slowdown added uncertainty.
